ALGAE is published by the Korean Society of Phycology and provides prompt publication of original works on phycology. ALGAE publishes articles on all aspects of phylogenetics and taxonomy, ecology and population biology, physiology and biochemistry, cell and molecular biology, and biotechnology and applied phycology. Checklists or equivalent manu-scripts may be considered for publication only if they contribute original information on taxonomy (e.g., new combinations), ecology or biogeography of more than just local relevance. Contributions may take the form of Original Research Articles, Research Notes, Review Articles and Book Reviews.

Acta Botanica Brasilica

A Acta Botanica Brasilica é o periódico científico publicado sob a responsabilidade da Sociedade Botânica do Brasil (SBB), tendo sido criado em 1987. A Acta Botanica Brasilica publica artigos originais em todas as Áreas da Botânica, básica ou aplicada, em Português, Espanhol ou Inglês. A partir de janeiro de 2013, a revista só publicará artigos em inglês. O periódico conta com Corpo Editorial, representado por um Editor-Chefe, Editores Assistentes e Editores de Áreas (Botânica Estrutural, Ecologia, Etnobotânica, Fisiologia, Taxonomia de Criptógamas e Taxonomia de Fanerógamas). É adotado o sistema de avaliação por pares, no qual os manuscritos são enviados para avaliadores ad hoc - inciados pelos autores ou pelos editores - para análise técnico-científica dos mesmos. O fator de impacto 2011 da revista é de 0,462, conforme publicado pelo JCR.

Acta Botanica Mexicana

Acta Botanica Mexicana is a quarterly, peer-reviewed journal published by the Instituto de Ecología, A.C. It contains original and novel articles on all fields of botany, in particular those relating to Mexican plants. Manuscript to be considered for publication should be presented to the Editorial Committee of Acta Botanica Mexicana, with the understanding that all authors agree on its publication. The contribution should be original and have not been published previously or simultaneously submitted elsewhere. All manuscripts will be evaluated by two specialists in the field. In principle, the reviewers will remain anonymous. All contributions should adhere to the following editorial norms and instructions.

Annals of Botany

ARCTIC, ANTARCTIC, AND ALPINE RESEARCH

AAAR is a quarterly journal that consists of original research papers, reviews, resulting correspondence, opinion pieces, book reviews, memoriams, and an events calendar. The journal covers any scientific or cultural aspect of Arctic, Antarctic, and alpine environments and related topics on subarctic, subantarctic, subalpine environments, and paleoenvironments. Papers may be uni- or multidisciplinary but should have interdisciplinary appeal. Special thematic issues and proceedings are published from time to time.

Blyttia is published by the Norwegian Botanical Association on a quarternary basis. The journal is indexed and abstracted by: Bibliography of Agriculture, Biological Abstracts, Life Sciences Collection, Norske Tidsskriftartikler and Selected Water Resources Abstracts. Blyttia est une revue scientifique norvégienne trimestrielle consacrée à la botanique qui a été fondée en 1943 à Oslo. Elle doit son nom au botaniste Matthias Numsen Blytt (1789-1862) et à son fils Axel Gudbrand Blytt (1843–1898). Elle est publiée par l'Association norvégienne de botanique et succède au Norsk Botanisk Forenings Meddelelser.

Bocconea

This series represents supplementary volumes of Flora Mediterranea, a journal published by ´The Herbarium Mediterraneum` on behalf of OPTIMA and the support of various Organizations. It includes monographies and other major works on Mediterranean botanical subjects. Bocconea is dedicated to Paolo (Silvio) Boccone (1633-1704), a famous Sicilian botanist and naturalist, one of the founding fathers of Mediterranea botany. He published in 1697 the "Museo di piante rare" where are described and illustrated a great number of plants from several Mediterranean countries.

Botanical Sciences is a continuation of and replaces the Boletín de la Sociedad Botánica de México, publishes from 1944 to 2011. Botanical Sciences is the scientific journal of the Botanical Society of Mexico (Sociedad Botánica de México). Electronic Journals Library

The Electronic Journals Library was founded in 1997 by the University Library of Regensburg in co-operation with the Technische Universität München University Library within the framework of a project. The aim of this project was to present e-journals to the library users in a clearly arranged user-interface and to create for the EZB member libraries an efficient administration tool for e-journal licences. At the moment, 605 institutions actively take part in the Electronic Journals Library; besides, the EZB is also used by virtual subject libraries and information services.

Electronic Sites of Botany, Plant Biology and Plant Science Journals

These are links to journals in which articles concerning plant biology are published. The sites will almost always have a Tables of Contents available free and may frequently have selected articles, or the entire text online. Uniwersytet Jagielloński należy do najstarszych w świecie ośrodków rozwoju nauki o roślinach. International Association of Bryologists

The mission of the International Association of Bryologists (IAB), as a society, is to strengthen bryology by encouraging interactions among all persons interested in byophytes. The International Association of Bryologists (IAB) is an organization established in 1969 at the XI International Botanical Congress in Seattle, Washington, U.S.A. The aim of the organization is to promote international cooperation and communication among bryologists, whether amateur or professional. This is achieved through sponsorship and arrangement of meetings and symposia that relate to the various aspects of bryology, and by IAB sponsored publications including The Bryological Times. The Association also supports the publication of reviews, lists, software, and compendia.

Journal of Systematics and Evolution

Acta Phytotaxonomica Sinica is sponsored by the Botanical Society of China and the Institute of Botany, Chinese Academy of Sciences. It was founded in 1951, continuing publications of the four Chinese botanical journals before 1949, viz., Bulletin of the Fan Memorial Institute of Biology, Botanical Series; Contributions from the Institute of Botany, National Academy of Peiping; Botanical Bulletin of Academia Sinica; and Contributions from the Biological Laboratory of the Science Society of China, Botanical Series. Starting from 2008, the English title changed to Journal of Systematics and Evolution.

The Journal of Systematics and Evolution (JSE, formerly Acta Phytotaxonomica Sinica) is a bi-monthly international English language journal dedicated to the description and understanding of biological diversity. SciELO - Scientific Electronic Library Online

SciELO (Scientific Electronic Library Online) is a bibliographic database and a model for cooperative electronic publishing in developing countries originally from Brazil, supported by the Foundation for Research Support of the State of São Paulo (Fundação de Amparo à Pesquisa do Estado de São Paulo, FAPESP) and the National Council of Scientific and Technological Development (Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico, CNPq), in partnership with the Latin American and Caribbean Center on Health Sciences Information. The database contains 985 scientific journals from different countries in free and universal access, full-text format. The SciELO Project's stated aims are to "envisage the development of a common methodology for the preparation, storage, dissemination and evaluation of scientific literature in electronic format." All journals are published by a special software suite which implements a scientific electronic virtual library accessed via several mechanisms, including a table of titles in alphabetic and subject list, subject and author indexes and a search engine.

The International Plant Names Index (IPNI)

The International Plant Names Index (IPNI) is a database of the names and associated basic bibliographical details of seed plants, ferns and lycophytes. Its goal is to eliminate the need for repeated reference to primary sources for basic bibliographic information about plant names. The data are freely available and are gradually being standardized and checked. IPNI will be a dynamic resource, depending on direct contributions by all members of the botanical community. IPNI is the product of a collaboration between The Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, The Harvard University Herbaria, and the Australian National Herbarium

The Journal of Japanese Botany

The Journal of Japanese Botany was started by Tomitaro Makino in April 1916. He edited the Journal through vol. 8 in 1933. Subsequently, the Journal has been edited by the Editorial Board from vol. 9 no. 1 in May 1933 to the present issue. The Editorial Board has been represented by Yasuhiko Asahina (1933–1975), Hiroshi Hara (1975–1987), Shoji Shibata (1987–2006), and Hiroyoshi Ohashi (2006–present). The Journal was published first by Makino’s company, ‘Shokubutsu-Kenkyû-Zasshi-Sha,’ then by Tsumura Laboratory from vol. 3 in 1926 and further by Tsumura & Co. from vol. 81 in 2006. The Journal has PROMOTED the development of research and the study of systematic botany, pharmacognosy and related disciplines. It is among the highly regarded journals in its field.
